Gullible’s Travels, presented to celebrate the 350th anniversary of the birth of author Jonathan Swift, is a slightly inaccurate, tongue-in-cheek retelling in words and music of Swift’s epic tale of adventure bearing a similar title.
The performance starts at 7pm on Saturday 16th September 2017 at St Barnabas' Church, Ranmore Common Road, RH5 6SP. Tickets are priced at £12 In Advance, £14 On the Door and include a complimentary glass of bubbly or soft drink during the interval.

Our hapless hero goes on his explorations, much like his near-namesake in the original account. However, his journey is met with ‘complications’, not least the appearance of familiar characters from other literary sources, who turn up in unexpected places!
The narrated storyline is illustrated with a wide mix of well-known musical pieces, from opera and musical theatre to jazz and popular standards. Featured composers include Handel, Elgar, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lionel Bart, John Ireland, Gershwin, Hugo Wolf and Gilbert & Sullivan, among others.
