Snow White and the Beanstalk
Snow White and the Beanstalk, is the brand new Christmas-themed tale by Va-Riotous.
Follow Jack and his sister Juliet up the beanstalk (the same one that was growing beside Juliet's balcony in 'Romeo and Jemima'). Find out why Snow White climbed the beanstalk and discover the real identity of the giant that lives at the top of it. Along with Snow White and the giant, you'll encounter reindeer, a sleigh ride and a man in a red coat ... but is he all that he seems?
In trademark Va-Riotous style, an additional cast of familiar characters make cameo appearances in unexpected places! Enjoy a complimentary glass of mulled wine (or non-alcoholic alternative) and mince pie during the interval as an integral part of the performance (bet that's got you guessing!).
The storyline is illustrated with music by well-known composers from a wide variety of musical genres, from Opera and Art Song to Musical Theatre and Popular Standards. Composers include Puccini, Dvorak, Henry Mancini, Handel, Gershwin, Elgar, John Barry, Hugo Wolf, the Sherman Brothers and Lionel Bart, among others.
'Snow White and the Beanstalk' unashamedly borrows Jack, Juliet and the beanstalk from 'Romeo and Jemima', an earlier production by Va-Riotous. In this respect it serves as a sequel to 'Romeo and Jemima', yet can be enjoyed as a stand-alone story in its own right.
There are not currently any further performances of Snow White and the Beanstalk planned for 2016.
